Co-Ord) stated that he had not personally seen the alleged certificates. Chris added that the office had reported no problems to him concerning erroneous certificates. Roy Allam said that he believed that it was the terminology used on the affiliation forms that was causing the confusion. Also the affiliation forms used confusing wording. Chris Bromley stated that some of the confusion was because of clubs "using up" older affiliation forms. David Lloyd Jones (Area Pro) was asked to contact the club concerned to ask if they had perceived any problems and were they aware of any certificates issued in error.

5) OFFICERS REPORTS
Chris Bromley (Area Chairman) reported that he had helped on the stand at both Cosford and Woodvale, which was very busy. With many new memberships taken. He added that he believes that this is partly due to people returning to the hobby via electric and park flyer type models.

Roy Allam (Area Vice Chairman) stated that he had judged at the Eddie Riding contest at Woodvale. Where many flyers from this area had competed.

Steve Ogden (Area Sec) said that he and Sue Reeves had operated the trade stand at numerous events during the summer, including a trip to Hastings. Although a long journey he was made very welcome. He and Sue were also invited to return as individuals by the chairman of the club during the weekend of one of their smaller events. From which they had just returned. He added that the club had personally invited himself and Sue to return next year and operate the stand at their main show.

Derek Gilbert (Area Treasurer) reported that the Area Fly-in cost very little, only £25 as with no loos being delivered we did not have to pay out for them.

David Lloyd Jones (Area Pro) reported on the behalf of Mike Colling (Area Delegate) that during a recent trip to Aberdeen he had managed to sell 250BMFA Darts in just one day. Chris Bromley added that other uses for the dart paper were still being investigated.

Sue Reeves (Area Ed Co Ord.) stated that she was working hard to get as many teams as possible to the finals of the BEA Systems Challenge. She also reported that there seemed to be a slight problem with Chestnut Lodge getting the help it required. Graham Pile (Runcorn MA) said that he was unaware of any problems and would investigate.
ACTION RUNCORN MA

Geoff Pomfret (Area Scale Comp sec) wished to thank Tom Anyon and Roy Allam for their invaluable help in running the Eddie Riding event at Woodvale. He added that although entries were down a little, it was a hard fought competition. Geoff stated that the rules might need more modification to allow rapier rocket motors to compete for the Jettex Trophy. Chris Bromley (Area Chairman) added that the re-introduction of the Eddie Riding Trophy had gone a long way to resurrect F/F scale flying in the UK. The meeting showed its appreciation of Geoff's work with a round of applause.

6) COUNCIL AGENDA
Chris Bromley (Area Chairman) went through anything of relevance or interest to the Area. He included a comment that he considered it very likely that subscriptions would increase for 2003 by £1 to £23. Also has an Area report was needed he asked who was in line to do this, Steve Ogden (Area Sec) said that he believed that it was the turn of the R/C Comp Sec, but as he was not in attendance it could not be confirmed.
