1) APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE
Max Lloyd, Graham Pile, Martyn Thatcher, Malcolm Harding, Alan Cantwell, and
Geof Pomfrett all sent their apologies for not being able to attend.
2) CORRESPONDENCE
Chris Bromley (Area Chairman) reported that he had received a memo from the
office. The letter gave details of the proposed changes to the way that saleable
goods were handled. In essence it means that the Area will purchase the goods
and sell them on the stand at shows within the Area and keep the profit. Any
unsold items can be returned to the office for a refund.
3) MINUTES OF THE LAST MEETING
Meeting on the 17/05/02
These were proposed as a true record by Rochdale MAC and seconded by CLMG
Passed unanimously.
4) MATTERS ARISING
Chris Bromley (Area Chairman) stated that he had seen the achievement scheme
certificates that had been questioned. And they were perfectly correct.
5) OFFICERS REPORTS
Tom Anyon (Editor PNW) restated his intention of retiring from the position
at the end of the year. And that the next issue would be his last.
David Lloyd Jones (ACE Area PRO) reported that he had taken two candidates
for tests one of who had crashed. He added that after checking out a proposed
new venue for the NW Area Indoor Fly In. He was to (after consultation with
Alan Cantwell, Area Indoor Comp sec) take on the arrangements.

Sue Reeves (Area Ed Co-Ord) gave the information that up to now we had 7 confirmed entries for the BMAC. She added that volunteers would be required to help out at Cosford.
John O'Donnell said that he felt that the challenge was not accomplishing what it was set up to do. Chris Bromley replied that the concept was get children to fly a model aircraft and that this was happening.
Mike Colling (Area Delegate) added that the challenge cost the society very little and is successful. He went on to report that he had recently returned from Aberdeen. Whilst there he had helped construct 466 Fun Copters and had also received orders for many more. In addition he has also acquired an order for 2000 Cygnet kits for BEA systems.

John O'Donnell pointed out that in his opinion some of the rules for the Eddie
Riding event at Woodvale were unclear. He asked if the rules could be clarified,
then reissued, and distributed.
