Meeting Dates for 2008
Meeting dates were discussed and as St Aidan's could not be certain of which Tuesdays would be available to us alternate dates were also agreed. After the meeting it was confirmed that the following dates were available:
15 January
11 March
6 May
3 June
2 September

AOB
It was agreed to make a presentation to Chris Bromley to mark his long service to the area and the Treasurer was authorised to spend up to £150.

The meeting agreed to donate £100 to the RAF Shawbury MFC for hosting the scale fly in.

Bury Metro proposed and PMAG seconded the proposal that the travelling expenses paid for travel to area meetings be increased to 18p per mile. Voting F: 4 A: 4 Abst: 8. The chairman cast his vote for no change.

Bury Metro asked if we could improve the marquee used for Cosford and Woodvale. At Woodvale, particularly with the current problems, it was agreed we probably have to accept what we are given, but the PRO agreed to look into this, in particular with the Cosford event.

There followed a discussion on the various rumours regarding the future of Woodvale. The outcome appeared to be that Woodvale will happen again in 2008, but there must be some doubt about 2009 and we must consider the possibility of an alternative venue for the Eddie Riding.

Meeting ended at 11.10

These minutes are provisional until approved at the next area meeting.
