Minutes of the short Area General Meeting of the B.M.F.A. North West Area held
on 3 December 2008 at St Aidan's Parish Centre, Winstanley, Wigan.

The meeting commenced at 9. 45 pm
Meeting Dates
As there was no one from St Aidan's present it was not possible to agree meeting
dates for the following year. These will be posted on the web site when agreed.

Syd Bostock-Lawton showed the meeting an example of the windsock. It was agreed
that BMFA North West Area would be screen printed on one side. The meeting authorised
Syd to go ahead with the order at a price of approx £1,700.
Further use of the surplus funds was discussed and John O'Donnell asked what had been bought for the indoor events. The treasurer explained that an 11 metre fishing pole had been acquired for £129.99
Frank Fletcher raised the possibility of the assault glider trust receiving
a grant for training pilots to "B" standard to display the 20lb model
gliders in public. The meeting agreed the area should not make individual donations
to clubs.
The Chairman proposed and Phoenix seconded the motion to increase the payment
to Shawbury MFC for running the scale event to £200. This was approved
unanimously by the meeting.
